Clean, dry skin. If you use a toner, this goes on after it. If you don't, it works fine on its own.

Less than you'd think. The two-piece design sits along your jaw instead of bridging across it, which is why it stays put when you turn over. And if you'd still rather not sleep in it, you don't have to. Put it on in the afternoon and take it off once it's gone clear.

How long do I leave it on?

Ninety minutes at minimum. A few hours is the sweet spot. Overnight is simply the easiest way to stop thinking about it. Rather than watching a clock, watch the mask: it goes on white and turns clear as it sinks in. When you can't see it anymore, it's done. That happens a little faster on some skin than others.

How often should I use it?

In our eight-week panel, most people used it three times a week. There's nothing in it that stops you using it more often. It's fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, so it's really a question of what your week can absorb.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

Fragrance-free, alcohol-free and non-comedogenic, which covers the three things that usually cause trouble. Hydrogel is cooling rather than active, so there's no tingling. If your skin reacts to almost everything, patch test on your jaw first.

Do I need a whole routine with this?

No, and that's rather the point. It's one step. If you already have a routine, use it after cleansing and before whatever comes next. If you don't have one, it works on its own.
